Charleston, South Carolina












Found the Early Bird Diner on YELP, a great hole-in-the-wall diner featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.  I had Shrimp and Grits, Joe had "The Mess"
On Savannah Highway

We also ate at the Grocery, a chic new restaurant. Loved the shared side-dish of brussel sprouts.

24 Market Street, a three course meal for $12
prepared by the culinary students at the University--get a reservation in advance.

MacIntosh, all of these restaurants require reservations and we heard that we were lucky to get one.

We loved the little crisp cookes made by
Soulheart Sisters called "Charleston Benne Wafer"
